Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic, P.A.

Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic, P.A. has been awarded a $15,000 grant from the North Carolina Medical Society Employee Benefit Plan (NCMS Plan) for encouraging wellness and good health practices among its employees.

“As a leading medical practice, we are strongly committed to making wellness a priority, not only to our patients, but also to our employees and the entire community. At Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic, our comprehensive wellness program is opened to all employees at no cost and includes activities such as onsite fitness and circuit training, fitness challenges where teams compete for recognition and rewards, promotion of community charitable organization activities such as runs/walks/bike-a-thons, Lunch N Learn program for fitness and health education, on-site Nutritionist appointments and more.

As a result of qualifying for the fitness grant, all employees enjoy lower premium costs by completing an annual online health assessment, an annual preventive care exam and logging in fitness activities and exercise. Our journey has seen results in taking employee involvement from no or low activity to more regular activity and a higher commitment to health and fitness. We are happy to work in conjunction with the North Carolina Medical Society Employee Benefit Plan to create a work culture that encourages commitment to wellness and good health. The grant funds will continue to assist us in growing our programs to ensure the health of our employees and their families for a lifetime.”

From L to R: Hannah Bowen (Account Manager, NCMS Plan), Rita Lytle (Human Resources Manager, Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic), Gary Bossert (Director of Operation, NCMS Plan), Jason Horay (Health Promotion Coordinator, NCMS Plan) and Shawn Scott (Deputy EVP, Operations & Administration, North Carolina Medical Society)
